Samsung Genio Slide – touch and keyboard
The Samsung Genio Slide has arrived in the UK, with the youth targeted handset exclusive to Vodafone for the first month.
Samsung’s Genio Slide – AKA Samsung Genio Pro – has a full slide out QWERTY keyboard and, according to the press release, is ‘aimed at the youth market’.
Vodafone – sat nav bolt-on
Vodafone has launched a Navigation App for the iPhone, offering turn-by-turn instructions for an extra £3 a month on your contract.
The Vodafone Navigation App is available for free, although to get access to the information needed to run it you will need to be a Vodafone customer and pay either £3 a month for the duration of your contract, or £5 month by month.
iPhone case getting all jazzed up?
Clamouring for more on the next iPhone? Well here’s the latest rumour-bomb: the iPhone 4G (as it’s being dubbed) might come with a touch sensitive casing.
This means Magic Mouse-like multi-touch technology covering its body – making it an awesome way to navigate through the iPhone.
Google Android sales not as high as hoped?
Google’s first phone, the Nexus One, has apparently sold only 20,000 units in its first week on sale.

Samsung Galaxy to get Android overhaul
Samsung is planning to upgrade all two of its European Android phones to the latest Android 2.0 software next month.
Well, we say latest – Google’s Nexus One uses 2.1, but that’s stuck on that device for now, leaving the rest to play around with the (still pretty cool) 2.0 clair option.
The Samsung Corby Folder
Samsung’s plans to stay at the cutting-edge of the low cost handset market look like continuing after press shots of the Corby Folder leaked out.
The new phone, which is shown for the Korean market, but would likely be re-released under a new name for the UK, is a low cost clamshell design.
