Until now, if you weren’t prepared to fork out or sign up for an unbearably long contact, then the chances of indulging in some wayfinding via your mobile were nil. However, German company Sagem Orga has paired up with BlueSky Positioning and developed a SIM card with built in A-GPS.

Mobile World Congress, Barcelona, 11 February 2008 – Telefónica O2 Germany today announces O2 Internet-to-Go – its revolutionary new portal that delivers a “real” web experience to the mobile phone.

O2 Germany customers can now navigate their favourite websites like Google, YouTube and Ebay the way they do on their laptop and PC, and all for just €9 cents per minute.  The core of the offer is the navigation tool bar which is comparable with the PC browser toolbar and enables simple and comfortable access to web sites as well as to clearly store and administer favourites.
