After giving the most boringly obvious clue in the world, Nokia has debuted the new C5 at CeBit.

The phone is the first in the new C-Series from Nokia, which seems to be the budget smartphone range from the Finns.

Nokia planning the new X10?

The new phone has shown up in a YouTube video, and seems likely to be running the latest version of Symbian^3, a significant finger friendly upgrade to handsets running the OS.

The X10 looks set to be a real big hitter in the Nokia stable, despite having a chassis that looks a little bit like the maligned X6.

Nokia N97 Vs Sony Ericsson Xperia X1

Although it’s pretty easy to read a hands on with a Nokia N97 these days, a bit more detail and few more photographs of the hotly anticipated handset have surfaced.

Nokia’s flagship touchscreen device won’t be debuting until later in 2009, but the chaps over at Mobile-Review have managed to nab the handset for a prolonged period and have put together some thoughts on the subject (weird that).

Samsung Omnia, Sony Ericsson C905 and Xperia X1 are in too

The Nokia N85 picks up the iPlayer

The BBC’s plans to find as many eyeballs as possible for its iPlayer have led it to the doorstep of the N85, where it has finally knocked hard enough to be let in.

Previously only N96 and iPhone owners were allowed to watch BBC programming over a 3G/Wi-Fi connection, but now the N85 has raised the size of the club.

The N96 to be imbued with Comes with Music powers

Nokia’s Comes with Music service, currently tied to just two handsets, is set to grow with the news that it will soon be supported on the N96.

Currently Nokia’s flagship device, it makes sense that the Finns would bring out a CwM version of the high-power handset.

Sony Ericsson’s effort with the Wii-like Zeemote

The next iteration of the iPhone (come on, you knew we would start talking about it at some point) is likely to have new motion-sensing abilities, far better than the current accelerometer.

According to Taiwanese news sources the MEMS gyroscopes, as the new technology is known, would allow the phone to work out where it is in a 3D environment, in a similar way to how the Nintendo Wii works.

Finns aren’t happy at the thought of losing all that money

Nokia hits back at TuneBite

Nokia have responded to the rumours that the DRM for its Comes with Music service can be circumvented by a cheap piece of software.

It might be a bit of a wishy washy statement, and one that is confusing as the TuneBite software has been proven to work, but Nokia still thinks it can protect its products.
