John Sculley is credited with coining the term PDA

John Sculley was CEO of Apple between 1983 and 1993. He was at the helm when, in 1985, its board of directors effectively fired the charismatic Apple cofounder Steve Jobs, the man whose vision eventually gave us the iPhone. He’s also credited with coining the term PDA (personal digital assistant), a term for devices such as Apple’s Newton, Palm’s Pilot and the iPhone.

‘Tesco today became the first retailer to offer petrol at prices last seen more than a year ago. Britain’s biggest petrol retailer has today cut the price of all grades of fuel by 2ppl at the majority of its 430 forecourts – the third cut in just over a week. And with its national petrol promotion landing in stores today, motorists can get a further 5p off per litre, taking prices for unleaded petrol down to levels last seen more than a year ago. Add to this Tesco’s unique Clubcard saving of a penny for every pound spent and motorists can fill up for less than 92ppl – a price last seen in April 2007.
